"It's been two weeks since my last blog post, and quite a lot of progress has been made. I still aim to launch at a bare minimum an alpha by the end of the year, and I'm still on track to deliver on that promise. However, temper your expectations—I'm a self-taught indie dev who works on this game in my free time. Don't expect a AAA product, but rather one with a more limited scope.
More about Task Force Sovereign
To add more details about what exactly TF Sovereign is I thought I'd reveal a bit of a plot synopsis.
Set on the fictional Southeast Asian island archipelago of Kaluluwa loosely based on the Philippines in 1989. After a terrorist attack on a US embassy, the US finds itself being drawn into a 4-way civil war on the island of Kaluluwa. The US tasked a covert mission to US Delta Force team Sovereign to conduct black op operations to find out who was behind the attack.
I will expand on this but for now, I'd focus on the actual game as it stands.
I've added a lot of features to the weapon system, but as of now, it's unfinished and not ready to be shown. One of the features I added is a Gunsmith system similar to MW 2019, allowing players to customize their weapons in depth.
One thing I can show off is that the weapon names now appear on the hud.

I've made slight adjustments to how my vault system works. I noticed if the player wasn't holding forward they would vault or climb over the object, i have fixed this issue.
I've also added a first-person aim-down sights feature which aims to work similarly to Ghost Recon Wildlands.
I now have a Trello board for the projet to track bugs as well as patch notes. When the game enters a public test I plan to use it to track known bugs. https://trello.com/b/LogVAlkS/task-force-sovereign
Goals for the next blog
I hope to have the weapon system done and ready for the showcase
